What is the best way to get a comprehensive list of membership holders?

The artist that I work with has a fan club with three different tiers. I'm trying to keep one list of all members, but I'm not sure if I am seeing data for all members. I know of two ways to look this up, but wanted to see if there is a better way. To use one of our tiers as an example, which we call 'plata', I go into the Topspin dashboard and click on "fans." Under smart groups, I click on "membership holders" and then select the 'plata' level. I do see that we have x number of members at the level and I can see their name, email address etc.

Now, what confuses me is that when I go into "sell" and look at the details for that membership's buy button, it shows a different number under 'total purchasers' than what is shown under the "fans" tab and the "subscribed purchasers." So my question is: are there some fans who purchased a membership, but I am not able to view their info because they didn't opt into the newsletter? I've been getting a few emails from people wanting to check their membership status, but want to make sure that I do have access to a comprehensive list.

Thanks!

-Karla

Hi Karla!  The reason for the discrepancy in numbers between memberships sold and memberships you can view in Fans, is because not all purchasers have opted in to be marketed to.  It's a requirement for fans to opt in to receive marketing emails, for them to appear in your Fans section.

Hi Jessie,

Thanks for your quick response! So is there no way to see a complete list of all members? At least their names?

I have a member who emailed me to check the status of her membership, but I don't see her name anywhere in the system. It may be that she didn't opt in to receive marketing emails, which is fine, but it'd be nice to at least have a complete list of names so I can answer her question.

Hey Karla.  The way to check your query is to go to the FULFIL tab and search either using the fan's email address, or their order number, if they're able to provide it.  You can then point them towards an E4M if you have one set up, which will ensure their email address is marketable.
