I'd like to setup a pre-order campaign for a digital package. Problematically, the tracks aren't recorded yet. I tried this once as an experiment and as I recall there is no way to "replace" tracks in a digital package pre-order once a customer has placed an order.
Is this still true? Is there a way around this?

Hi Kenny! Yes you can do this:
1. Include the cover art in the main 'product choice' field.
2. In the preorder configuration panel, enter your digital delivery date.
3. Check the box beside 'street date product'.
4. Choose a track or digital package containing a track - any track will do - this is a placeholder.
5. Publish your button - just remember to add the completed content before the digital delivery date rolls around.
So, Jessie. That would be a change from say 6 months ago? I ran a pre-sale campaign and used "placeholder" tracks in the digital package. I later deleted those tracks and replaced them with new ones.
At street date the fans got the "old" tracks even thought I had deleted them. In other words I"m asking. Did something change?
Hi Kenny, the automated preorders feature was launched something like 6 months ago.. so your experience may be prior to automation, when we fulfilled preorders by sending download links to purchasers.
My experience was in late April. Everything was automated then. I guess I'll have to do a test to see what happens because my experience was the opposite of what you're suggesting.
