I´ve made an E4M widget that I´ve posted on my website and Facebook. When people share this widget on Facebook it generates this link: http://app.topspin.net/store/artist/4403?wId=96578&highlightCol...
I´ve customized the widget code on my website, http://alpinethosemyriads.com, but I think it´s strange that the link that people share on Facebook picks up this code that I´ve got on my website. Would be nice if the Topspin store showed the original widget code.
Hope all of this isn´t to confusing :)
Best regards,

Hey Marius! I've tested your widget, and it seems that the user's Facebook privacy settings are having an effect on what displays. If I have "secure browsing" switched OFF, then the widget posts right in the stream. If "secure browsing" is switched ON, then the shared post links out to the page you've shown. There's a bit more detail at the bottom of this post. Also, you can customise the app.topspin.net page by uploading a custom header - more info here.
Hi Jessie! Wasn´t aware of the Facebook security thing. Thanks for that!
Still wondering why the http://app.topspin.net/store/artist/4403?wId=96578&highlightCol... link does´t show the full widget with info and artwork? It´s kind off confusing if people clicks this link on Facebook and all they get is a sign-up field with no info about the E4M.
As said earlier, it seems that the E4M widget on the app.topspin.net picks up the code customization i have done on my band´s official website. Isn´t this a little strange?
Hiya, that one I do not know the answer to! I'm going to escalate your comment to a ticket so our Artist Support team can have a look for you.
Thanks Jessie!
Hey Marius!
I looked into this for you, and I believe this is actually normal Email for Media behavior. Currently, if you share a modified E4M, your modifications should carry forward in the share. Your homepage E4M widget above, including flash var &displayInitialScreen=false;" is posting in its modified form to Facebook. A feature allowing you to specify a sort of 'default source' widget for sharing (from a modified widget) doesn't currently exist, but it's an interesting use case for us to consider. Thanks for reaching out!
Thanks for clearing up and investigating this for me David!
